Call for Artistic Programming Assistant //Connexion Artist-Run Centre

Connexion Artist-Run Centre is seeking to hire an Artistic Programming Assistant from September 6, 2021 to March 31, 2022. The position is for students interested in contemporary visual art and culture, it consists of 15 hours per week at $20 per hour.

The Artistic Programming Assistant will work closely with the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors of Connexion, and will help with administrative functions and social media, online events and current programming. Candidates should have an interest and understanding of contemporary art and artist-run culture.

A background in Fine Arts, Art History, Media Studies, Education, Communication and Design, or Business would benefit the candidate. The ideal candidate will be able to work alone and with a team, and will be adaptable, creative, and resourceful.

An ideal candidate will understand the importance of art and community and will be capable of innovative thinking. Basic computer skills required include: Internet research, e-mail, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms. Familiarity with Mac computers and any knowledge of graphic design, photography, or videography considered an asset.
