We are now seeking motivated members of the community to join Connexion’s Board of Directors. Available positions include Communications/Education chair, Student representative, HR/Inclusivity chair, and Members-at-large.
Qualified candidates will have the skill sets, resources, and/or enthusiasm necessary to assist us in the sustainable, transparent, and efficient governance of Fredericton’s sole artist-run centre, established in 1984. Our Board of Directors consists of local artists and art appreciators, and represents the interests of the Fredericton contemporary arts community. The Board of Directors meets on a semi-monthly basis.
As an organization of primarily settler heritage, both at the time of its founding and over years of leadership, and in acknowledging the long-standing systems that perpetuate patriarchy and white supremacy in the art world, we especially encourage applications from individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, or persons living with a disability.
Useful skills include, but are not limited to:
→ Fundraising experience & event planning
→ Connections in the Business sector
→ HR / policy development
→ Community outreach
