The New Brunswick Laboratory of Imaginary Media Research + Design will host an experimental workshop at Connexion ARC, exploring the role of wonder and fantasy in our contemporary media landscape. NBLIMR invites anyone and everyone to come and join the team; no experience necessary.
We will do some thinking together about classic imaginary media (e.g. the holodeck, cyberspace, the singularity) and we will collaboratively develop some of our own alternatives. This will be valuable for anyone interested in technology, group creation, theory, and fun. Part seminar, part drawing jam, all real!
The New Brunswick Laboratory of Imaginary Media Research + Design was founded by Dr. Henry Adam Svec, a scholar and inventor who is currently the University of New Brunswick’s Media Artist in Residence.
Admission is free, all are welcome.
