Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for additional assistance from generous volunteers. Email us at director@connexionarc.org if you are interested, and we will let you know if any current projects require volunteers. We greatly appreciate your interest in working with us!
Members’ Projects
Connexion Artist-Run Centre is committed to supporting DIY culture and projects, and we are open to assisting in facilitating this in many different ways. If you have an idea but are struggling to know how to get started, you can reach out to us and set up a consultation meeting.
Projects can include exhibitions, screenings, talks, residencies, performances, and more. Although we may not be able to provide financial compensation for these projects, we are able to provide in-kind support through the use of our space, networks, equipment, and staff resources.
Project proposals are not formally juried but are subject to the programming committee’s approval. Priority will go to projects that are closely aligned with Connexion ARC’s mandate and commitment to supporting experimental practices & diverse perspectives.
Please send an inquiry to director@connexionarc.org.
Project Proposals
Connexion Artist-Run Centre holds calls for special project proposals periodically, as new opportunities arise for artists, curators, and community partners. If you have a proposal for Connexion that you believe fits within our Mandate, please email us!
Proposals are accepted year-round and will be reviewed as necessary. We are currently accepting proposals for the 2026-2027 year. For member-led projects or to propose a project outside of current calls, please use the application guidelines below.

Connexion ARC remunerates artists based on the CARFAC fee schedule for artistic production. Support for travel, lodging, or meal assistance may be available, depending on funds at the time of application. Please note that Connexion ARC operates without a permanent gallery space. In your application, please consider the context of the community and activating new spaces for contemporary and experimental visual art practices by working outside of traditional exhibition strategies.
The Programming and Selections Committees are comprised of dedicated volunteers from the artistic and situated community. Outside of current calls, expect a potentially long wait time for a response from the programming committee.
