Chris Foster will be giving an artist talk at Gallery Connexion on Saturday, September 28 at 2PM, following the opening of his solo exhibition in the main gallery on September 26. Foster utilizes printed matter, drawn illustration, and sculptural forms to create thought-provoking interventions and installations. For the talk, Foster will speak about his individual artistic practice, as well as his work as “a carpenter, bartender, community organizer, teacher and hustler” in the Halifax community.
Alongside his individual practice, Foster chairs the Programming Committee at The Khyber, an artist-run centre in Halifax. He also co-produces The Periodical Project, a quarterly publication that promotes the work of local emerging artists in the HRM.
