LABOUR + LEISURE

EVENT : Saturday, May 3 2014 @ 2 PM

Connexion ARC is excited to host Eyelevel Gallery‘s ERI 6 Biennial in our new space at 732 Charlotte Street, in downtown Fredericton.

Touring through the Maritime Provinces, the ERI6 Biennial will present artist books and multiples for perusal and purchase.

Thematically organized around ideas of Labour + Leisure, ERI 6 incites an important discussion of the contemporary conditions of labour and productivity for artists and other post-industrial workers.

The event will begin at 2PM with an artist talk by Toronto-based artist Camilla Singh, via Skype, discussing her most recent project “Uniforms for Non-Uniform Work” – currently presented as a solo exhibition at the Art Gallery of York University.

On Saturday evening, Connexion ARC is partnering with local artists at Door Beside Dimitri’s Studios (349 King Street, Fredericton) in an opening reception for their exhibition SHIFT WORK at 7 PM.

Connexion ARC gratefully acknowledges the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Province of New Brunswick, the City of Fredericton, and the Picaroons Brewing Company.
